NOTICE TO CUSTOMERS
The City of Tuscaloosa, from whom Englewood-Hulls Water System, Inc. purchases water, has periodically raised rates. The costs to provide safe and reliable drinking water continue to increase. Therefore, it is required that we adjust our rates. We regret this rate adjustment, but must do so to continue to meet our financial obligations and provide service to our customers. Englewood-Hulls Water System was founded in 1972 by the late James Crocker and other community leaders. The soul purpose of EHWS was and still is to provide drinking water to the Englewood and Hulls communities. Through a series of federal grants from the Farmers Home Administration, our water system was formed. We began our system with only one water tank and one pump station which served some 200 plus customers in its infancy. Today, EHWS serves over 1900 customers with four water tanks and four pump stations.
